During the month of February, La Biblioteca, will be conducting their first annual membership drive. In 2010 the membership drive will start February 15 and end March 15. The membership drive allows the Biblioteca to bring special attention to the new memberships, although the new memberships are available all year long. Beginning in 2011 the membership drive will be an annual event running from during the month of February.

The library will be offering 4 membership categories for you to choose from. Which one is right for you?

Platinum Level: Cost $1000 pesos

Includes library borrowing privileges for one year plus 1 year Platinum card for 10% discount in the Biblioteca Cafe Santa Ana, 10% discount off of non consignment items in La Tienda, the Biblioteca gift store, and 2 House and Garden tickets. The Platinum membership offers a value of $1500 pesos for only $1000 pesos based on buying 1 coffee a day, plus 1 lunch a week and shopping in Tienda. In addition your Platinum membership allows a 10% discount on purchases of non consignment goods at Libros El Tecolote (English and Spanish Bookstore) Jesus  11.

Gold Level: Cost $500 pesos

Includes library borrowing privileges for one year plus 8 movies tickets for Teatro Santa Ana and one House and Garden Ticket. The Gold Membership offers a value of $760 for only $500. (8 Movie tickets equals $480 pesos + 1 House and Garden ticket $200 + $80 pesos for regular membership). In addition your Gold membership allows a 10% discount on purchases of non consignment goods at Libros El Tecolote (English and Spanish Bookstore) Jesus 11.

Silver Level: Cost $200 pesos

Includes library borrowing privileges for one year plus 4 movie tickets. The Silver Membership offers a value of $320.00 pesos for $200.00 pesos. (4 Movie tickets $240 pesos + $80 pesos for regular membership) In addition your Silver membership allows a 5% discount on purchases of non consignment goods at Libros El Tecolote (English and Spanish Bookstore) Jesus 11.

Bronze Level: Cost $80 pesos

La Biblioteca wishes to thank you for your generous support and purchase of membership. If you are not able to purchase a library membership during our drive, any membership category can be bought at our service counter in the lending library during normal library hours.

Now that I have decided on my membership category, what documents do I need to get a membership?

For residents:

A photocopy of proof of address, FM documents or bills (electricity or telephone) in your name

For visitors:

Two (2) copies of your passport or drivers license with photo and a deposit of $100.00 pesos which is returned upon your departure. (To receive your deposit please bring in your deposit receipt and ensure your account is in good standing with all borrowed books returned.)
