Hola ya'll. Vudu Chile will be performing selected songs from their new CD of covers by such folks as Muddy Waters, The Police, Nat King Cole and Bo Diddly to name a few. It's an eclectic album from an eclectic group. Putting their own spin on classic covers has been Vudu Chile's signature trademark since their inception in 2004. Everything from the 

Stones to the Beatles, from jazz to Jones (Tom, that is), from blues to reggae, from pop to New Orleans style beats, Vudu Chile has tackled them all with a vengance and finesse that is quite unexpected and super fun. Playing in San Miguel, Querertaro, Morelia, Celaya, in clubs, concert halls, tributes, dance parties and benefit concerts, the guys in Vudu Chile have never failed to get people moving and grooving, dancing and prancing, and shakin and bakin at all their performances. They have performed tribute concerts of the music of Elton John, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, John Lee Hooker, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Billy Joel to name a few and plan on doing more of theirs and your favorite classics, but all in their own hot-n-spicy style, Vudu Chile style. This new Cd is their first complete, professionally recorded and mastered album. It is a calling card of sorts designed to let you soak in the Vudu Chile vibe in their arrangements of many different styles of music. Drummer Carlos de Aguinaga is a Yamaha certified master teacher, composer and arranger. Guitarist Julian Arcos is a long time veteran of guitar styles and plays blues, rock, jazz, gypsy jazz, and latin styles as well as reggae and almost any genre from the U.S. Javier Arcos is Julian's brother and the bassist in Vudu Chile, he has studied with master teachers in the U.S. and Mexico and is a highly sought after studio musician in Mexico City for commercial and film and TV work. Lynx Maple is the singer for Vudu Chile, trained in all acapella four part harmony tradition of gospel singing at an early age, songwriter, guitar player, poet and singer of many many styles of music. He was the lead singer for the blues concert of the last San Miguel Jazz and Blues Festival to rave reviews of his interpretations of classics from Muddy Waters to Howling Wolf. All of these guys have been busy with side projects as well performing up to 8 times a week. So it is with great pride that that have made a great CD of some of their best covers. So come join us, Vudu Chile for the release of an album that has been 8 years in the making, a great album that showcases what we can do, and that's play music,  people.
