Maestro Antonio Cabrero international pianist with a flair for combining his classical training with traditional jazz and his own exotic inspirations will delight the San Miguel audiences this winter season at the Sala Quetzal of the Biblioteca Pública, opening concert will be on Friday January 8th at 6pm.
Maestro Cabrero is known throughout México as a symphony conductor, but his piano concerts have taken relevance in recent years, due to his passion for creating and improvising over jazz standards of the USA and music from Spain and México.
During his studies in New York he did extensive research of the classical music of India, and many of his improvisations are based in those musical structures.
Every Wednesday he will have a different program combining the great American music, jazz, Latin American and classical melodies that are deep in the heart of everyone.
The concerts are not to be missed; the rendez vous is at Sala Quetzal at 7 p.m. Tickets 150 pesos at the Theatre Box Office
The Sala Quetzal is one of San Miguel de Allende's most unique venues for a lecture or concert. The room features a mural by Mexican painter, David Leonardo. The Mural, taking 2 years to complete, covers all wall space in the Sala and represents Mexican history. We encourage you to view the room any time you are visiting the Biblioteca. Th
